On Monday, Melita clients in nineteen localities in Central Malta were unable to use their telephone, internet and TV services. The service is expected to be back to normal between 10-11 pm.
A Melita official told Newsbook.com.mt that the services had been cut off due to damages on the infrastructure by third parties working on various streets in Ħal Balzan.
Over Facebook the provider also explained that one of the fibre cables had been damaged and that the public may still use the 112 service even when they have no service.
Localities affected are: Ħ’Attard, Ħad-Dingli, Ħal Qormi, Rabat, Siġġiewi, Swatar, Imsida, St. Venera and Ħaż-Żebbuġ.
