The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) has just signed an agreement with Transcargo International, which will see MCAST lecturers travelling to Kazakhstan to deliver a training programme for 30 students. They will be abroad for a period of six months, during which they will provide the students with the necessary skills to work in one of Transcargo’s companies.
Transcargo International is a company that deals with the trans-shipment of oil and gas. Furthermore, it is also a training hub offering courses in electrical and mechanical engineering.
This is a first for MCAST’s internationalisation strategy, as the college continues to explore similar arrangements with other countries in other areas of study including business and administration and care services.
At present, there are over 70 students from India studying at MCAST with the possibility of students from Japan, Vietnam and China following their studies at the college.
