Mathematician disappointed that COVID numbers are not better

Some disappointment was voiced by mathematician Prof Josef Lauri as the numbers in COVID-19 cases have not given another downward nudge to the epidemic curve graph. “Thirty new cases is more than one would have hoped for, but when added to yesterday’s number the epicurve still indicates that we might be descending from the last peak. The time series model also predicts a more optimistic 25 new cases tomorrow, but the situation is still uncertain before we can definitely say that we are on a downturn, ” noted the university professor.
