Mass to resume in mid-June

Liturgical celebrations will resume from mid-June, Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Chris Fearne announced on Monday evening during a press conference in which the government announced that more restrictive coronavirus measures will be lifted from 5 June.

Fielding questions from the media, Dr Fearne said that the details will be announced by the Church authorities in the coming days.

Funeral ceremonies resumed on 22 May under certain conditions.

Daily masses and masses held on Sundays, and children catechism classes were suspended on 12 March. The Curia started broadcasting live a mass every day at 9:30am and the Rosary at 5:30pm.
