“Many trees are still alive in Ta’ Pinu” – Peter Agius

These were the words uttered by the Leader of the European Parliament Office in Malta, Peter Agius after visiting Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary in Gozo.

In a Facebook post, Agius said that he visited the Biblical Gardens after several media outlets reported the death of trees in these gardens.  These trees were planted and financed by a European Project.

Peter Agius said that there are many trees which are still alive, particularly carob and pine trees.
