A 20-year-old man from Nadur was handed down a two-year prison sentence suspended for four years after he pleaded guilty to charges brought against him on Wednesday.
The man was accused of theft, slightly injuring another person and breaching bail conditions.
The man had stolen cash, jewellery and other items from a residence in iż-Żebbuġ between the night of the 19 and 20 June 2019.
On 27 October, the accused caused slight injuries to another person. The incident happened in J. F. Kennedy Square in Rabat, Gozo.
The man breached bail conditions earlier on this week.
The man pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him.
Presiding magistrate Monica Vella, handed down the sentence.
The prosecution was led by Police Inspector B.C. Spiteri.
