A 74-year-old man died of coronavirus on Wednesday, the health authorities reported.
The man who had tested positive on 13 November and died at Mater Dei Hospital, became the 104th victim of this pandemic.
While offering its condolences to the family of the victim, the health ministry remained everyone to continue practicing social distancing, wear face masks in public and to continue washing their hands frequently.
On Wednesday, the health authorities have reported 173 new infections with the number of active cases reaching 2,133.
To date, 8,420 coronavirus cases have been registered in Malta while 6,184 cases have made a recovery.
