A 29-year-old man died after falling off the cliffs near Mtaħleb, police say.
A police spokesperson told Newsbook.com.mt that the incident was reported at 8.40 am. The man, residing in San Gwann, who was fishing when he fell from an area near Għar id-Dwieb.
The Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) dispatched a patrol boat and helicopter to the area. The man was brought back to land but was pronounced dead on-site by an emergency doctor.
Magistrate Rachel Montebello appointed an inquiry to investigate the case.
