Malta will be taking part in the Dubai Expo 2020, with the aim of attracting investments in the research and education sectors among others, according to Minister of Investments, Chris Cardona.

This was said in a press conference which took place this morning at the Malta Enterprise. “World Expos are important international events which last six months and are organised every five years. Every edition is hosted in a different city. The coming expo will be held in Dubai between the 20th of October 2020 till the 10th of April, 2021”, said Cardona.

When Newsbook.com.mt asked Minister Cardona about the type of businesses which might be interested in the event, he said that this event is apt for those interested in exposing their work in Malta and who want to attract foreign investors. He added that this also interests businesses who wish to work internationally.

Cardona also said that “Anthony Tabone was appointed as a General Commissioner of Malta for the Expo in Dubai”. In his speech, Tabone said that the main aim will be to generate a great interest in Malta. He explained that the design of the Maltese pavilion will be starting in these coming weeks.
