Maltese and EU nationals have two weeks to update their details on Electoral Register

All Maltese and EU nationals aged 16 or over who would like to vote in the upcoming elections and whose names do not appear on the Electoral Register published in April 2018 need to register as voters by 30 September, ahead of the October publication.

The Chief Electoral Commissioner notified the closing date for the publication of the forthcoming revision of the General Elections, Local Council and European Union Electoral Registers was soon due.

The Commissioner also said that it was in the interest of the voters to verify the details published in the April Electoral Register such as house number or name, street name as well as ID card number.

The Commissioner urged registered voters to notify the Electoral Office if any corrections or changes are necessary. If one would like to check whether they are a registered voter, they can do so by going to the Publications section on the Electoral Commission’s website.
