The Italian Government has apologised to Malta after the Italian police called the Maltese Ambassador to Italy, Vanessa Frazier a “whore”.
With reference to what the Ambassador had said to Italian media, Police officials shared a post on Facebook, saying that Italy was being made fun of by a “whore” in Malta . The Ambassador had commented on the distance between Malta, Africa and Italy.
The Italian Ambassador to Malta said that the Italian Foreign Minister, Enzo Moavero Milanesi communicated with Carmelo Abela, Malta’s Foreign Minister and apologised in the name of the Italian Government. The Italian Ambassador to Malta Mario Sammartino expressed solidarity with his colleague, the Maltese Ambassador to Italy.
