Statistics published by Eurostat, the institution in charge of European Union (EU) statistics, places Malta and Estonia first with the highest rate of growth in employment in the EU with 1.3%. This covers the period from April till June of this year. The EU average is 0.4%
According to these statistics, when compared to the same period of last year, this rate of growth translates to an increase of 5.5% which is the highest rate of growth in employment in the EU followed by Cyprus with 4.3%.
The total number of people having a job stands at 238.9 million during the same period, according to the same statistics.
