Tista' taqra bil- Malti.
MaltaPost has suspended its China postal service with immediate effect, the company announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The notice comes in the wake of several airline companies suspending their flights to China due to the coronavirus threat.
The coronavirus outbreak has disrupted flights to and from China, with airlines around the globe halt service. Commercial flights to and from Wuhan, where the virus is centered, have mostly stopped, while cancellations have spread to major hubs in Beijing and Shanghai.
Carriers from British Airways to Singapore Airlines to United Airlines have suspended flights to China’s biggest cities.
To date no Maltese tested postive to the virus. A couple who was on board a cruise liner that was refused entry by several countries was recently quarantined as a precautionary measure after the passengers were disembarked in Cambodia.
