Malta set to reach 50m public transport passengers – Transport Minister

Malta’s public transport is soon to reach 50 million passengers served, according to the Transport Minister.

The number was raised during discussions between the Dr Ian Borg and public transport drivers, on ways to improve the service.

Borg reminded them of the importance of their work to the country and the need for it to be provided in an efficient way.

In August alone, more than 5 million passengers used Maltese bus services.

In conclusion, Borg said that he was looking ahead, ‘to more positive initiatives and more work towards a better quality public transport service.’
