The United Kingdom may soon require travellers from Malta and Belgium to be quarantined as the number of Covid-19 cases has seen a significant increase in numbers.

The claim is being made by The Telegraph, which looked at Covid-19 figures across Europe to determine how travel policy might be changed.

The newspaper noted that both the prevalence of Covid-19 in Malta and Belgium is now higher than in Spain and Portugal, which are already on the quarantine list.

The British government is expected to decide on the matter shortly.
