Malta ranked first with the most trusted healthcare system among European Member States in a survey conducted by Eurofound.

However, Malta ranked below the European average when asked about life satisfaction during the coronavirus pandemic.

Until 30 April, more than 85,000 people had participated in the online survey.

Health authorities have described the situation in Malta as stable. At present, there are no patients in intensive care while the number of newly detected cases remained in single digits.

The study showed that European citizens had more trust in their healthcare system to their respective government.

It also transpired that four out of ten employees were working from home during the pandemic.

Health Minister Chris Fearne sharing the results of the study said that “together we will beat this pandemic”.

❗It’s official – Malta 🇲🇹 has the MOST TRUSTED #healthcare system in the EU! I am humbled by our people’s trust. Together we will beat 💪 this pandemic.
