In the final day of the Labour Party leadership campaign, Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne, said that Malta has to be a country for everyone, where everyone can succeed and meet their aspirations in a way that no one is left behind.

Fearne said that a government led by him will be a government which will continue create wealth while ensuring that the wealth reaches families, students, workers and pensioners.

Fearne said that during the campaign he listened to people and the moment he’s elected Prime Minister, he will ensure that there is social justice, seriousness, discipline and a country which is cleaner.

Fearne said that he’s determined to eliminate poverty so that every child can excel in their life.

The Deputy Prime Minister referred to former labour party leaders Dom Mintoff, Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici, Alfred Sant and Joseph Muscat saying that from them he learnt humbleness, the value of change and the way to be successful.

He also referred to the National broadcaster, saying that the necessary reforms will be done, so that there will be the needed changes to ensure that there are no unjust spokes in the wheels for the Labour Party.

He appealed for all party supporters to remain united, so that in two and half years, the party will win the confidence of the Maltese and Gozitans.
