Local Councillor donates allowance to food bank

Gudja Local Councillor Mark Anthony Sammut will donate his March and April allowance to the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation.

The Nationalist Councillor reflected on the current situation stemming from the coronavirus outbreak in Malta which has negatively impacted the country’s economy leading to layoffs as well as loss of income for self-employed in a Facebook post.

The councillor will be donating his allowances from March and until the situation persists to the food bank.

He encouraged the public to show solidarity and help those in need.
