“When we race without a destination, we need to change our attitude,” Opposition Leader and Partit Nazzjonalista leader Adrian Delia said, explaining that this was nature’s message to the humans during the coronavirus pandemic.
Delia was speaking during a seminar organised to mark International Workers’ Day. He remarked that this year, the feast was being celebrated while countries were fighting a global pandemic which led to the lockdown of various countries.
He remarked that due to the measures which were taken to curb the spread of the virus, pollution levels had decreased since the public was encouraged to remain home. ‘Earth is showing us that there is a need for a new revolution,’ Delia said.
The Opposition Leader said that the success of a country should not be measured on generated surplus or its GDP but should include the well-being and the quality of life of its citizens and residents.
He stressed that the government speaks about numbers but behind those numbers one finds families and workers who are struggling to make ends meet.
