Live on 103: Philanthropist who loves the Maltese

Tista' taqra bil- Malti.

Mark Weingard, entrepreneur and philanthropist, who lives in Malta and loves the Maltese will answers questions by Fr Joe Borg about his close encounters with death. Weingard survived the Twin Towers as well as the tsunami that devastated South East Asia. Had he been with his fiancé in Bali he, like her, would have been the victim of a terrorist attack.

Mark Weingard, exclusively on the radio station 103 Malta’s Heart, at 1pm during Newsbook Hour.

“Researching about Weingard has been a pleasure and a source of inspiration”, said Fr Joe Borg who describes Weingard as the “man who can’t spell ‘rest’ as he never stops doing good to others.”

Mark will answer why every disaster he survived gave him the strength to reach out to others, inspire and help others. His Inspirasia Foundation funds and supports exceptional projects in health and education for marginalised communities and persons with disabilities, while inspiring others to give and give well.

Recently he set up the website Malta Together which has become Malta’s guide to everything to do from home during lockdown and isolation, and was launched to help people cope with the change in lifestyle and any issues which have arisen due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in Malta.

Mark Weingard will also give information about the concert that Malta Together will organise on May 3rd. The concert aims at showing gratitude towards the front line heroes during the pandemic as well as inspire the Maltese to fight on.
