Partit Nazzjonalista Adrian Delia said that the government has amended the contract it has with the American giant Steward Health Care while the investigation into the privatisation deal was still underway.
Delia was interviewed on the party’s media on Friday evening.
The Opposition Leader stressed that a post-coronavirus strategy was needed.
He spoke about the vote in the House of Representatives on the motion which was presented by the Opposition which called for the cancellation of the concession granted to Steward Healthcare to operate three private hospitals. Delia accused the government MPs of being hypocrites. He said that the Government took aim at the Opposition for tabling a motion in parliament while the contract was subject of a magisterial inquiry. The Nationalist leader said that the government changed the contract while the inquiry was underway.
Delia said that Partit Nazzjonalista was lighting up its village clubs in blue lights as a sign of its gratitude towards all frontline workers battling the coronavirus in Malta.
