Liturgical celebrations to be livestreamed during Holy Week

During the month of April, Archbishop Charles Scicluna will be celebrating mass everyday. Due to the conditions imposed on gatherings of people, which also affected liturgical celebrations, the mass will be streamed on Newsbook.com.mt, Knisja.mt, and TVM2.

Mass celebrated by the Archbishop will be streamed from Monday to Friday at 5.30pm from the Manresa Chapel in the Archbishop’s Kurja in Floriana. After mass, the rosary will be prayed.

On Sundays, mass will be streamed at 9.30am. It will be celebrated at the Church of St. Francis in Ħamrun.

A special programme is being prepared for the Holy Week. It starts on the 5th of April, Palm Sunday.

Livestreams of liturgical celebrations led by the Archbishop during Holy Week

Sunday 5th April at 9.30am: Archbishop Charles Scicluna leads the Palm Sunday celebrations, the blessing of the olive and palm branches, and the passion of the Christ at the Manresa Chapel in the Archbishop’s Kurja in Floriana.

Monday 6th April at 5.30pm: Mons. Scicluna celebrates mass and leads the prayer of the rosary.

Tuesday 7th April at 5.30pm: Mons. Scicluna celebrates mass and leads the prayer of the rosary.

Thursday 9th April, Maundy Thursday, at 9.30am: Mons. Scicluna leads the leads the Office of Readings. At 5.30pm, the Archbishop celebrates Mass, the Lord’s Supper, followed by time for adoration at the altar of repose. At 8.30pm, Mons. Scicluna will lead a moment of prayer and reflection. The theme will be “Seven stops with Jesus”.

Friday 10th April, Good Friday, at 9.30am: The Archbishop leads the leads the Office of Readings. At 3pm, the Archbishop leads the Liturgical Action of the Passion and Death of the Lord. At 6.30pm, Mons. Scicluna prays the Via Crucis.

Saturday 11th April, Holy Saturday, at 9.30am, Mons. Scicluna leads the leads the Office of Readings. At 8.30pm, the Archbishop Celebrates the Easter Vigil.

Sunday 12th April, at 9.30am, the Archbishop celebrates Easter Sunday Mass.
