Liturgical celebrations by Archbishop Charles Scicluna in January 2021, announced

Throughout the month of January, Archbishop Charles J Scicluna will be celebrating mass during the week as well as on Sundays. These masses will be live-streamed on TVM2, Knisja.mt and Newsbook.com.mt.

The regular masses organised by the Archdiocese of Malta;

  • From Monday to Saturday at 9.30 am, from the Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop’s Curia in Floriana. Time will be dedicated to the Rosary. This time of prayer will be rerun on TVM2 at 5.30 pm, from Monday to Friday.
  • Every Sunday at 9.30 am, the mass will be live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube apart from the above-mentioned platforms. A rerun is shown on TVM2 at 6.30 pm.

The Archbishop will also celebrate mass in the following churches;

  • On Friday 1st January 2021 at 9:30 am, Archbishop Scicluna will celebrate mass at Dar tal-Providenza in Siġġiewi. The first day of 2021 is dedicated to the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, and it is World Peace Day.
  • On Sunday 3rd January at 9:30 am, Archbishop Scicluna will celebrate the Epiphany mass during which the feasts of the Lord for 2021 will be announced. The Archbishop will also give the Ministry of Lectrate to three seminarians and the Ministry of Acolyte to two seminarians. The mass will be held at St. John’s Cathedral in Valletta. It will be live-streamed on TVM2. Then at 6:30 pm, Archbishop Scicluna celebrates a thanksgiving mass to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Basilica of the Nativity of Mary, Senglea.
  • Tuesday 12th January at 11:00 am Archbishop Scicluna will lead the Ecumenical Service at the Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop’s Curia in Floriana.
  • Saturday 23rd January at 5:30 pm Archbishop Scicluna Monsinjur Arċisqof will lead the prayers for the request of the First Vespers. After, on the eve of the feast of the conversion of Paul the Apostle, the Archbishop will celebrate a mass at the Mdina Cathedral.
  • Sunday 24th January at 9:30 am. Archbishop Scicluna will celebrate the Solemn Pontifical Mass of the Conversion of Paul the Apostle. The mass will be held at the Mdina Cathedral and it will be live-streamed on TVM2.
  • On Monday 25th January at 9:30 am, Archbishop Scicluna will celebrate mass at The Chapel of the Seminary Vocations Centre of the Archbishop at Tal-Virtu in Rabat. After mass, the Archbishop will bless the school’s library. This will be live-streamed on TVM2.
