Limited edition of ‘A Legacy of Church Builders’ biography; all proceeds to go to charity


A new limited edition of  the biography A Legacy of Church Builders by Victor Sammut is currently available.

The book relates the achievements of the Sammut ancestors who built fine churches in Malta. Antonio Sammut bought the land for and built and financed the Gzira parish church. Karm Sammut  built the Marian Sanctuary Tal-Herba in Birkirkara. Joseph, son of Antonio, built Senglea church and St Anthony in Ghajn Dwieli in 17 months. After World War II he did reconstruction works on St Paul’s Anglican pro cathedral and St John’s Co-Cathedral, among others.

In the book, one also finds unedited stories, anecdotes, sketches and church plans which are of great interest to parishioners of Gzira, Birkirkara, Senglea, Valletta, Floriana and many more.
