Tista' taqra bil- Malti.

Konrad Mizzi has just informed the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Anglu Farrugia, that he will continue to serve in parliament and will continue supporting the Labour Party’s parliamentary group.

In his letter to the Speaker Konrad Mizzi wrote that his aim is to contribute towards Malta’s economic development and to represent in parliament the voice of his constituents.

On Tuesday Konrad Mizzi was expelled from the Labour Party’s Parliamentary Group. This was announced by Prime Minister Robert Abela following a meeting that was held between the PL Parliamentary Group and the Executive Committee. This follows Mizzi’s refusal to resign.

The PM said that 71 out of 73 voters voted Mizzi out. Someone abstained, while the other voted against. The vote was anonymous, and Mizzi was present virtually since he’s currently in quarantine.
