Maltese karting driver Gianluca Dingli has competed in the first official race for 2020.
This is the sixth time that Dingli is competing in the Italian Championship organised by ACI Sport. The first round was held at the international circuit of Triscina in Trapani. Dingli, after 9 months not competing, competed in the X30 Senior class with kart number 410. In the first race Dingli lost four places and finished in ninth place. Then on the final race Dingli advanced 2 places and ended up in position 7. Dingli’s position in the championship after the first race meeting is position 8.
Next week, Dingli is travelling to South Garda Karting in Lonato for training. Then will be travelling again at the end of August to Lonato to compete in the third round of the Rok Cup Championship for the North of Italy.
Kyle Micallef, another Maltese kart racing driver, was also in Triscina competing in the 60-mini class. Micallef is at position 17 after the first round of the championship.
