Maltese NGO KOPIN has been awarded $25,000 through the U.S. Department of State’s 2018 Julia Taft Refugee Fund Grant.
Through research, education, and cooperation with key stakeholders, KOPIN’s project will focus on combatting trafficking in persons (TIP) among refugee populations in Malta, including asylum seekers.
KOPIN’s Executive Director Mr. William Grech signed the grant documents at the U.S. Embassy, in the presence of U.S. Ambassador G. Kathleen Hill. The signing ceremony coincided with the World Day against Trafficking in Persons.
