Former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat has been summoned to appear before the public inquiry board on Friday.
The public inquiry is tasked with among other things to determine whether the state did all it could to prevent the murder of investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.
Muscat has not confirmed his attendance yet.
Joseph Muscat will be the most high profile person to testify before the inquiry board made up of Judge Emeritus Michael Mallia, who is chairing the inquiry board, and Chief Justice Emeritus Joseph Said Pullicino and Judge Abigail Lofaro.
