Tista' taqra bil- Malti.
Last Sunday, Pope Francis announced a number of dedicated public prayers where he invited all Christians from all over the world “to participate spiritually” during the live broadcast at 6pm.
One of which will happen today on Friday 27 March, where the Holy See will preside over a moment of prayer against the coronavirus which has now claimed more than 24,000 lives worldwide.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on Newsbook.com.mt from in front of the façade of St Peter’s Basilica in Rome at 6pm and will consist in readings from the scriptures, prayers and adoration of the blessed sacrament. Ultimately, it will conclude with Pope Francis giving the Urbi et Orbi blessing, known as the blessing “to the City [of Rome] and to the World” which is normally only given on Christmas and Easter.
