ITS signs agreement with the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management

The Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) signed an agreement with the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM). Thanks to this agreemnet ITS will be launching its first ever master degree programme. It will also be able to enhance its current academic programmes.

Present during the cermony were also the Prime Minister Jospeh Muscat as well as Minister for Tourism Konrad Mizzi.

This agreement follows the Memorandum of Understanding that was signed in 201. The EAHM, which is renowned internationally for its academic strength in the field of Hospitality Management, will provide quality assurance to current ITS study programmes. It will also assist in the intriduction of an MBA Master Degree programme.

The collaboration will also give the opportunity to train up to 15 lecturers to assist in the facilitation of interactive and problem-based teaching as well as learn and provide effective classroom management skills. These contributions are in line with the long-term vision to develop ITS into a self-sufficient world class international Hospitality and Tourism Educational Institute in the heart of the Mediterranean.

ITS will be offering this masters programme, which is recognized by the NCFHE, as from this coming academic year 2019-2020.

Along with the launch of the new logo, which needed to be amended also to show the affiliation with the EAHM, ITS also launched the prospectus for 2019-2020, along with the campaign for this year with the name ‘Spread your wings’.
