Italy has registered 37,255 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, the country’s health authorities announced on Saturday.
On Friday, Italy recorded a total of 40,902 new infections.
In Lombardy, 8,129 new cases were recorded, 2,505 cases less from the previous day.
The country has also registered 544 coronavirus-related deaths.
