The United Kingdom has officially left the European Union after 47 years of membership.

This historic moment was marked by celebrations by those in favour of Brexit and there were also protests from those who stood against the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union.

An hour before the UK officially left the European Union, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, published a video message on social media, where he stated: “For many people, this is an astonishing moment of hope, a moment they thought would never come”

Boris Johnson stated that it is his job to bring together the United Kingdom.

The 27 EU member states that Britain left behind in Brussels, on Friday, approved the withdrawal agreement reached on October 2019 after more than three years of negotiations.
