“I don’t see any reasons for me to resign” Busuttil tells Delia

Former Opposition and Nationalist Party Leader Simon Busuttil in a statement on Facebook said that he sees no reason why he should resign from the PN’s parliamentary group following Delia’s request for him to do so.

He called out Delia for deciding on the matter prior to the full publication of the Egrant Inquiry Report. He said that it is contradictory to on one hand Delia wants him removed from the parliamentary group but on the other he wants him to continue working on the inquiries into the allegations concerning Keith Schembri and Konrad Mizzi.

Busuttil said that he will continue his fight for justice, even if he has to stand alone.

He reiterated that it remains the duty of the Opposition to speak about serious allegations especially when such allegations concern the Prime Minister himself. Busuttil went on to say that people close to Muscat were already caught red handed with companies in Panama.
