An emotional Joseph Muscat addressed a press conference this morning saying that the Magisterial Inquiry exonerated him and his wife Michelle from any connection with the Panamanian company Egrant.
Muscat said that Magistrate Bugeja concluded that a number of documents and signatures were forged.
At one point the Prime Minister was in tears. Cabinet members showed their support by giving him a standing ovation. Muscat was most emotional when he thanked his wife for her constant support and the strength she showed when conformed by what he described as ‘so much hate’.
The Prime Minister called for the resignation of former Leader of the Opposition Dr Simon Busuttil.
