A 42-year old man is expected to appear in Court on Saturday over a holdup that took place on 2nd August.
In the incident the 72-year old shopkeeper had tried to resist the culprit from taking €500 from the cash register however he was hit with an iron rod leaving him in a pool of blood on the sidewalk in front of the shop.
The Police found the aggressor in a garage in Birkirkara on Thursday.
