Fuel prices up but still not most expensive in Europe, consoles minister

If you are set to top up your car’s fuel, this morning you will find it more expensive to do so. A dry, non-explanatory statement issued by Enemed gave the new, hiked-up prices for fuel:

E-Unleaded will increase from €1.31 per litre to €1.36 per litre

E-Diesel will increase from €1.18 per litre to €1.23 per litre

E-Power will increase from €1.46 per litre to  €1.51 per litre

In a reaction soon after, Energy Minister Joe Mizzi was quoted in an official statement as saying that the Maltese will still be paying 9c less per litre of petrol than most European Countries and 11.5c less on diesel.
