Frank Psaila has physically visited the Police Headquarters in Floriana to give a police statement to the main investigator of the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia and Kurt Zahra from the Prosecution.

In a press release, Psaila who used to work as a journalist with Media.Link Communications and also contested the European Parliament elections with the Nationalist Party, said that he visited the depot out of his own initiative. This came about following his name coming up in court where it was said that he was one of the people who had information about the ongoing investigations in the murder.

This morning, Paul Caruana Galizia, one of the three sons of the assassinated journalist said that it was not only Yorgen Fenech that knew that he was going to be arrested. He said that both Ivan Camilleri (ex Times of Malta journalist) and Frank Psaila (ex Media.Link Communications journalist), together with some others, had the same information.

In his declaration, Psaila clarified that he never had any information in hand regarding the ongoing investigation. “What I know is that which was reported in the media and circulated on social media in the past few months,” he added.

In the meantime, Ivan Camilleri, the journalist sacked from Times of Malta last week, reiterated what was said in his declaration last week. He categorically denied that he was ever made aware of the investigations in relation to Yorgen Fenech and his involvement in Caruana Galizia’s assassination.
