The Government has confirmed that the €100 vouchers being issued for economical regeneration following COVID-19 are to be sent also to all foreign residents in Malta.

The Government clarified that the vouchers will be issued by post to addresses both on the Electoral Register, and addresses found in the Identity Malta database.

These vouchers are to be issued to anyone 16 years old and up. They represent money (not cheques) that can be used in outlets as dictated by the Government. Therefore, it stated that a secure system was required to ensure the arrival of these vouchers. Such a secure system is already in place with the delivery of ballots, and was therefore used for this case.
