Foreign Ministry provides banking course to Gambian officials

Malta’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion has sponsored a training course for members of Gambia’s Central Bank.

The five-day course provided by the Central Bank of Malta gave the nine Gambian officers a training in money and banking.

This is one of the outcomes of the commitment made by Minister Carmelo Abela during the International Conference for The Gambia, held in Brussels in May of this year.

This is also understood be the first step in Malta’s relations with The Gambia in supporting its reforms.
