Christians around the world are being urged to join in a week of prayers for the global Christian unity.
This was revealed in a press release from the Archdiocese of Malta which explained that the week of prayers starts from today and will end on Friday the 25th of January. Themed “Follow justice and justice alone” (Dewt 16:20), the week will see different catholic churches unite in ecumenical prayers.
For this special occasion an ecumenical mass will be celebrated on the 25th of January at 6.30pm at the church of St.Paul’s Shipwreck in Valletta. Archbishop Charles Scicluna will preside over the service and the biblical reflection will be delivered by the Saint Paul Anglican Pro Cathedral Chancellor, Canon Simon Godfey.
The Joy Gospel choir will be in attendance. The public is invited to attend.
