Archbishop Charles Scicluna encouraged the faithful not only to pray the rosary during lent but to follow in her footsteps so that they may understand better on how to face the challenges and hardships which would affect them in their daily lives.
Mgr Scicluna delivered his homily during mass in Żabbar prior to the pilgrimage which marked the first Sunday of Lent. The penitential pilgrimage which included the statue of Our Lady of Grace was led by the Archbishop.
The Archbishop remarked that it felt as though this was the second village feast of those living in Żabbar since the mass was well attended.
Mgr Scicluna reminded those present of the core message held in the pastoral letter which was issued by the diocese over the weekend urging the faithful to not be afraid to take Mary home, and to make Mary central to their live this lent.
