A single group of five people was found to be in breach of regulations prohibiting large groups from congregating in public spaces, according to the latest Covid-19 bulletin issued to the government.
The group brings the total number of people fined €100 for being in breach of group restrictions – which originally limited groups to 3, a limit that has since been increased by one – to 1,428.
However, no persons on mandatory quarantine have been caught in breach of it during any of the 408 inspections carried out in the last 24 hours.
It remains to be seen whether restrictions on groups are to be changed, as Tourism Minister Julia Farrugia Portelli revealed that Covid-19 restrictions are to be eased further by Monday.
Ten new cases of Covid-19 had been announced by the health authorities in today’s briefing.
