Five elderly persons succumb to COVID-19

Five elderly people aged between 74 and 91 have died due to coronavirus, the health authorities announced on Wednesday.

A 77-year-old man who tested positive on 10th November died at Mater Dei Hospital.

A 74-year-old man who tested positive on 22nd November died at Mater Dei Hospital

An 80-year-old man who tested positive on 22nd November died at Mater Dei Hospital.

An 80-year-old woman who tested positive on 17th November died at Mater Dei Hospital.

A 91-year-old woman who tested positive on 26th November died at Mater Dei Hospital.

The pandemic has claimed 146 lives to date.

Whilst offering its condolences to the family, the health ministry reminded everyone to abide by the regulations in place aimed at curbing the spread of the infection.
