First hours of Oħloq Tbissima “a success”; marathon continues today

Tista' taqra bil- Malti.

According to the organisers, the first few hours of the Oħloq Tbissima marathon, held yesterday, was a success, showing that the Maltese and Gozitans have understood the need to support Maltese missionaries in Peru, Pakistan and the Philippines.

During the broadcast, viewers were able to see these missionaries using Skype. Light was shed on the needs of the poor, and the extent to which, these volunteers have to continue to provide food every day to hundreds of families who lost their jobs due to being locked up at home for the past few months.

Today, the marathon will continue on local TV stations, from 5.00pm until midnight. The marathon will also be broadcasted live on the Oħloq Tbissima Facebook page. Apart from having established singers in studio, Oħloq Tbissima will also be hosting video calls with other missionaries working in these countries.

Anyone wishing to contribute during the broadcast may do so by calling the telephone numbers appearing on the screen.
