First EP Plenary session for Alex Agius Saliba

Commenting directly from Strasbourg, MEP, Alex Agius Saliba, said that he feels privileged to have a direct influence in shaping the future of Europe after his first EP Plenary session.

He also said that the election of Social Democrat David-Maria Sassoli as EP President struck a “much-needed balance” at the top level of EU positions. According to Agius Saliba, we must now focus on finding the right solutions for the challenges that the EU is facing and forget political antagonism.

The newly elected MEP added that the EU must work to deliver a more social and just system for its citizens, and that climate change, migration and sustainability should be priorities on the EU agenda.
