Fgura bomb trio fail to get bail

The three accused who tried to carry out a bomb attack in Fgura were not granted bail.

Two brothers, a 34-year-old man from Xgħajra and a 29-year-old man from Birżebbuġa, along with another 49-year-old man from Qrendi are accused of committing crimes including the work on the explosive and the commissioning of a bomb intended to kill a car dealer.

The men have been remanded in custody for about 4 months.

The Court said it rejected the request for bail because of the seriousness of the offences and since these people are not trustworthy.

The victim in last January’s case, told the Court that in the days following the attempt, he remained locked at home due to great fear for his life.
