The overall government deficit to GDP ratio in the Euro Area, for the third quarter, currently sits at 0.5%.
That places the current number at three times lower than the same time two years ago (-1.7%) and less that the same period in 2017 (-0.7%).
This however shows an increase of 0.2% in the deficit from the second quarter of 2018 (-0.3%).
As for government expenditure across the Euro Area, for the third quarter of 2018, the percentage currently sits at 46.1%, 0.1% less than the previous quarter.
However, with the EU28, total government expenditure to GDP, recorded a rise. This now sits at 45.5%, 2% greater than the previous (45.3%).
