A 98-year-old woman was among the five new cases of Covid-19 that were registered by the Health authorities today.
This prompted the Ministry of Health to temporarily stop visits at the Cospicua Home. In a statement, the ministry said that the case was detected during a routine swab test carried out at the Cospicua Home.
As a result, the woman has been transferred to St Thomas Hospital, and the staff and other patients tested. They are now waiting for the results.
Another woman sharing the room with the 98-year-old woman is now in quarantine. The ministry added that visits were stopped as a precautionary measure.
