The court has approved the hearing of the application presented before the Constitutional Court by Opposition leader Adrian Delia.
In a press release, Partit Nazzjonalista (PN) said that Judge Robert Mangion had decreed that there is merit for the case to be heard urgently .
Attorney General (AG) Peter Grech had previously objected to the application being heard in court.
Delia had filed an application before the Constitutional Court after the AG did not provide a copy of the Egrant inquest to the leader of the Opposition. According to the PN, this creates a political imbalance which goes against the Maltese Constitution and the European Convention.
The Constitutional Case will be heard on the 3rd September.
