€56,000 spent on 2020 Budget’s social media campaign

Just under €56,000 were spent to promote the 2020 Budget on social media, the government has confirmed.

Figures tabled by Prime Minister Robert Abela in response to a parliamentary question by Nationalist MP Ivan Bartolo this afternoon show that total expenditure reached €55,789, excluding VAT.

The figure includes expenditure on filming, editing, casting and data management, as well as the booking of adverts on Facebook and Google, Dr Abela confirmed.
